Hotel Boutique in Valencia

Legend has it that outside the walls of Valencia, on the banks of the river, dwelled the danger and nightmare of the city: a beast known as the dragon, feared for devouring one person every day. The story, told by the famous Valencian writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez in 1901, tells how the city despaired of finding a brave man capable of confronting the monster. An unknown Jew with extraordinary abilities offered himself in exchange for forgiveness. After a week of secret preparation, he emerged dressed in mirrored armor that dazzled the dragon and enabled his defeat. Valencia was saved and the hero, absolved, mysteriously disappeared into history. This legend lives on in the Real Colegio Seminario del Corpus Christi, very close to our hotel, where the crocodile that symbolizes the terror and the history of silence of the city is preserved.
